this 1. fast-forward to around 24 mins and watch ur mind slowly blow as you clock how possible it is that this is real. like i'm convinced.
if you can't b bothered to watch that, i'll explain. here's some background info:
- the earth rotates in an elliptical orbit, which changes its direction slightly over time, facing different constellations (star signs) every 2000-ish years; the astrological ages.
- the 'great year' is a 24,000 year period that began 22,000 years ago (roughly), in the age of capricorn.
- each astrological age lasts for 1/12th of that, so approximately 2000 years.
- the astrological ages work backwards to the way we would expect; they go virgo>leo>cancer, whereas our birthday ones go cancer>leo>virgo
- just like our signs are supposed to give us, as individuals, different traits, the ages teach us, as a collective, new skills and help us progress and evolve together. (for example, in the age of aries, the sign of war, humanity went through the ancient wars&conflicts, and birthed the art of warcraft.)
- we just left the age of pisces and are in (or entering ) the age of aquarius; the last 2000 year period in the 'great year'.
make sense? ok, here's the previous astrological ages. or, at least, the ones we have records of, since it goes back so far:
AGE OF VIRGO (12,000BC-10,000BC, roughly):
The Virgin- symbol for Virgo |
this is when humanity and the human race are thought to have begun. virgo's symbolised by the virgin (not as in every virgo's a virgin but like new, fresh beginnings), so this makes a lot of sense.
AGE OF LEO (10,000BC-8000BC):
![]() |
The Lion- symbol for Leo |
humans learned how to make pretty things and decorate their dwellings, caring more about materials. our ancestors started to make their caves look pretty and began to be fascinated with gold and other shiny things. self explanatory, we all know about the stereotypical leo.
AGE OF CANCER (8000BC-6000BC):
The Crab- symbol for Cancer |
farming & family were emphasised and prioritized more, beginning here. humans began to take care of their homes and families first; becoming more domestic. we understood the gift of water (cancer's a water sign). makes sense because cancer symbolises the divine mother and all things maternal and home-oriented. we stopped being literal cavemen.
AGE OF GEMINI (big up) (6000BC-4000BC):
![]() |
The Twins- symbol for Gemini |
societies began to form due to polarization (gemini is symbolised by the twins), and a more sophisticated language evolved; making sense because gemini represents communication. people began to explore the world in boats and trading and sharing also became important to us. modern archeologists have found many ceramics with abstract designs from this era; geminis and air signs in general are known for their creativity. we began to enjoy socialising and this is when the first industrial era was thought to have been (not as in factories were around obviously, but people started to crave creating new things). like with the age of leo, and a lot of these to be fair, if you know any geminis this should make a lotta sense.
AGE OF TAURUS (4000BC-2000BC):
The Bull- symbol for Taurus |
Apis- Egyptian God |
taurus is symbolised by the bull, which, interestingly, the ancient egyptians used to worship in this era. wealth, comfort, permanence and business growth became significant in this period, so an organised social hierarchy emerged, along with some of the first currency systems. we became more materialistic, collecting treasures that we treasured greatly. cities and other monuments were built to flaunt the richest people's wealth: the pyramids, for example.
AGE OF ARIES (2000BC-0):
The Ram- symbol for Aries |
like i mentioned, the age of aries introduced war and warcraft. in this time, we saw the trojans, romans, greeks, spartans and many others conquer their regions to reinforce and exercise the power introduced in the age of taurus. lots of war and aggression defined this age, along with logic, philosophy and maths. the intention behind these endeavours was cementing the previously introduced notions of power and status.
AGE OF PISCES (0-2000/2020?):
The Fish- symbol for Pisces |
Ichthys- a famous symbol in Christianity |
the end of the B.C's. what i think is the most compelling reason for these ages existing is the fact that pisces represents organised religion, which is the only reason that 'BC' (before christ) is a thing. isn't that so so interesting???!! like the only reason we're in 2021 is because jesus, a religious figure, was born 2021 years ago, at the dawn of the age of pisces; the age of religion. another extra-convincing coincidence(?) is the fact that the christian symbol above, ichthys (no clue how to pronounce this word), almost exactly resembles a fish; the emblem of pisces. the age also brought manipulation, lies, indoctrination and the use of fear as a means to an end. water signs are notoriously known for telling a couple more lies than the average person (love u tho). this is so crazy to me, as some of the older generations, born and raised in the age of pisces, still live in fear or confusion about things younger generations see with clarity. fear has BEEN used as a means to control the masses (i'm not talking about covid, wear your mask.) and keep us clued down.
AGE OF AQUARIUS (today-4000(-ish)):
The Water Bearer- symbol for Aquarius |
isn't that crazy???? thanks for reading down to here if you did, i hope that made sense.it's so crazy to me that astrology is so looked down upon when it used to be considered a science in ancient times; and they were definitely smarter then than we give them credit for. let me know what you think of this! do you think it could be true? after all, if we're made up of materials FROM stars, why is it so unrealistic that they might have a whole lotta influence over us from afar? something to think about.
